Rockstar Games Announces New Details and Release Date for Red Dead Redemption
Undead Nightmare Features
all new single-player storyline and multiplayer content
New York, NY- October 14,
2010 - Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced new details
for the upcoming Undead Nightmare Pack from the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption. The Undead Nightmare
Pack will be available October 26, 2010 for digital download from the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment
network* and PlayStation®Network.
"Undead Nightmare turns the world of Red Dead Redemption upside
down," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "The supernatural vibe and the return of some favorite characters
create a whole new game inside an already incredible world."
Undead Nightmare introduces hours of a new single-player
storyline and brand new multiplayer content. Seemingly overnight, a zombie plague ravages the once bountiful frontier,
decimating the landscape and reawakening the dead. In towns, settlements and outposts throughout the world, the uninfected
citizens are left to fight for survival against waves of the undead. John Marston must ride out into the vast and terrifying
world and survive long enough to find a cure.
Four zombie classes enter the fray, each possessing unique characteristics,
attacks, and defenses. Mythical creatures roam the frontier, alongside zombie cougars, bears, wolves and many more.
Taking down the undead requires non-traditional weaponry, including the new Blunderbuss, which can be loaded with looted remains
of fallen zombies. The deadly Tomahawk and the Explosive Rifle make a triumphant comeback and will be available exclusively
for those who downloaded the Legends and Killers Pack and the Liars and Cheats Pack.
The all new single-player
narrative features new challenges, quests, and ambient events, including Missing Persons, where the player must find a missing
survivor lost amongst the throngs of undead. New competitive multiplayer and multiplayer free roam content includes Undead
Overrun, a brand new multiplayer survival mode where waves of infected attack and players must work together to stay alive
against increasingly difficult odds.
Also coming soon, Undead Nightmare, a single, stand-alone disc that bundles
together for the first time ever, the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers
Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date. Undead Nightmare will be available
at retail stores everywhere for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 and does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.
The Undead Nightmare Pack will be available from Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Network ($9.99/£7.99/€9.99)
and requires a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play. Red Dead Redemption, rated M for Mature by the ESRB, is currently
available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment
system. The Legends and Killers and the Liars and Cheats add-on packs are available separately on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace
for Xbox 360 and on the PlayStation®Network and require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.

NPD Group Will No Longer Release Video Game Sales Data to the General Public A Flawless Victory for True Gamers, A Crushing Defeat for Fanboys Everywhere
In a stunning announcement the NPD Group has revealed they will no longer be releasing monthly video
game sales data to the general public. In a statement from the NPD group the company revealed they will now only provide this
data to their subscribers. For the record, a subscription to this data is rumored to cost over $15,000 US.
The NPD group has stated that its clients are still free to release sales data as they see fit. Which means companies will
continue to provide data on occasion, probably only after the release of a highly successful product.
We here
at DigThatBox.com applaud this decision. It is our personal belief that sales discussion of any kind is a detriment to our
great hobby. For too long sales figures have been used to fuel hatred and division among the video game community. Brand loyalty
in the gaming hobby can be an ugly thing. Far too often hate-filled fanboys would use sales data to taunt and torment those
who purchased opposing hardware. This meaningless hatred did nothing but spread division among the video game community.
It also helped promote a culture of negativity around our great hobby. Instead of playing games, web addicted fanboys
would spend all their time talking about sales figures online. This sort of behavior is inexcusable. Its also a great detriment
to this industry.
Unfortunately this development does not come as welcome news to everyone. Web sites like NeoGAF,
whose popularity has been waning in recent years, and VGchartz, which provides sales data that is completely fictional,
will both be devastated by this development. The popularity of both sites was built around sales figure discussion. Bean counting
fanboys would spend hours online arguing about meaningless sales figures. In a way, we are happy to see those people set free
from that pointless exercise.
Also, many times the "quality" of a product is determined only by
its sales figures. Now a game will have to be judged on its merits alone. We are very happy to see this great change and we
look forward to the bright future for all true gamers everywhere.

great video games, and we’re happy to play our part with KONAMI in reintroducing this classic to fans of all ages,”

Console Game Developed by Madrid-based Mercury Steam in collaboration with KONAMI’s legendary Kojima Productions
studio, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a groundbreaking title that mixes stunning combat elements with a fully interactive
3D realm. In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow gamers play as Gabriel Belmont, voiced by Robert Carlyle, the hero of the
game and part of the legendary Belmont clan from Castlevania lore. While in-human creatures of the night wreak havoc on the
land, the soles of the dead are trapped on Earth and unable to find peace. Gabriel must track down the mysterious Lords of
Shadow in order to unite the pieces of a relic called “The God Mask” that can purify the world and has the power
to bring the dead back to life. Along Gabriel’s journey gamers will traverse over 50 diverse and beautifully realized
3D stages, come up against over 45 enemies, and defeat huge adversaries in real time with skill, power and timing. In total,
the game boasts over 40 possible combo attacks that can be added to Gabriel’s arsenal. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
offers a wide range of puzzles with larger adversaries that require a specific means to exploit weaknesses, or object-related
puzzles that will open doors or give access to previously unreachable areas.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
will be available on October 5 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For assets and information, please visit http://www.konami.com/games/castlevania/castlevania-lords-of-shadow.phpSubmitted By: E.
