10/20/2016 - Nintendo Reveals the New Nintendo Switch Video Game SystemNintendo Switch World Premiere Demonstrates New Entertainment Experiences
from a Home Gaming System
Detachable Controllers Reinvent Gaming
REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 20, 2016 – In an introductory video released today (http://www.nintendo.com/switch ), Nintendo provided the first glimpse of its new home gaming system and
revealed that it is called Nintendo Switch. In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo
Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of
a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.
At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch Dock that connects the system to the TV and lets you play with family
and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting Nintendo Switch from the dock, the system will instantly
transition to portable mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home now travels with you. The
portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display. It brings the full home gaming system experience
with you to the park, on an airplane, in a car, or to a friend’s apartment.
Gaming springs into action by
removing detachable Joy-Con controllers from either side of Nintendo Switch. One player can use a Joy-Con controller in each
hand; two players can each take one; or multiple Joy-Con can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options.
They can easily click back into place or be slipped into a Joy-Con Grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller.
Or, if preferred, the gamer can select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to use instead of the Joy-Con controllers.
Furthermore, it is possible for numerous people to bring their Nintendo Switch systems together to enjoy local multiplayer
face-to-face competition.
“Nintendo Switch allows gamers the freedom to play however they like,” said
Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO, Nintendo of America. “It gives game developers new abilities to bring their creative
visions to life by opening up the concept of gaming without boundaries.”
Developers can design their games

10/18/2016 - Twitter and Xbox Partner for Gears of War 4 PromotionTWITTER AND XBOX #PARTNERUP
TO CONNECT GAMERS To mark the release of Gears
of War 4, Twitter is launching #PartnerUp, a new initiative in partnership with Xbox. The collaboration brings gamers
together and enables them to create a new gaming experience once connected by the social platform.
All a gamer
needs to do is simply Tweet using the #PartnerUp hashtag and they will get an auto-response from @xboxuk acknowledging their
involvement, as shown in the following link: https://twitter.com/xboxuk/status/787942343370473472
Gamers have two more days to post about #PartnerUp and on October
20th they will receive a Tweet from @xboxuk connecting them with their new gaming partner. It's then over to them
to begin their gaming journey together.
In the world of online gaming, Twitter and Xbox are aiming to help likeminded
players come together through a common interest and shared passion. Using Gears of War 4 as a spring board, the campaign
aims to see what can be achieved when players combine their shared interest to achieve a greater common goal, whilst having
a bit of fun at the same time!
#PartnerUp is a promoted campaign by Xbox to endorse the release of Gears of War
4. Last week the console manufacturer launched Twitter stickers that gaming fans could use to customise their Tweets, followed
by a First View video ad to support the campaign.
Mike Rapson, Category Manager, Xbox Games said: “Gears
of War 4 is an inherently social experience so partnering with Twitter on this campaign was the perfect way to help bring
fans together and encourage them to experience multiplayer.”
The start of 2016 saw the social network
launch the @TwitterGaming platform – a hub for all things games related, bringing news from around the world on all
of the most popular and anticipated titles.
#PartnerUp follows a collaboration with Grime artist JME (@JMEBBK)
for the launch of the new Gears of War 4 game, where the rapper gave people chance to find him through various clues given
out during a Periscope livestream. The first person who located JME got a chance to join the Grime MC in a live co-op game
which was also streamed live via the platform.
Alice Beverton Palmer, Media Partnerships, Twitter UK said: “At
Twitter we are always looking for innovative ways to engage our users, and with such a huge gaming audience active right now
on the platform, partnering with Xbox on this project made a lot of sense. We are very excited to be able to have this opportunity
to create new possibilities for modern gamers on Twitter.”
One pair of newly partnered up gamers will
also receive a load of exclusive Xbox goodies that will be Tweeted on October 21st to the lucky winners.
