03/13/2015 - Zombie Kill of the Week Reborn Now on SteamZombie Kill Of The Week – Reborn Now on Steam Friday, March 13, 2015, Manchester,
UK. - Merge Games Ltd., a privately owned video game publisher and distributor, is proud to announce the release
of Finnish developer, Still Running’s, Zombie Kill of the Week - Reborn, a challenging, fast paced,
2D survival shooter! And when we say fast. We mean breakneck, flat-out, adrenaline fuelled fast!
What’s
makes Still Running’s Zombie Kill of the Week - Reborn different from other shooters is your goal isn’t to run
through levels and finish the game, but to survive for as long as possible under increasingly frantic conditions. Seems simple
enough, but where Zombie Kill of the Week - Reborn really takes off is in the added layers of depth and huge variety of features
and customisation available.
Players earn money for slaughtering zombies which is useful, as you can spend big
on an arsenal of over twenty-five different weapons (including chainsaw, katana, mini-gun, RPG, D.O.M. and many others!).
Players also need cash to open doors and activate jumps in order to reach new areas of the map. Heck there’s even an
elusive magic fridge that drops special loot. In short, the longer you survive, the more weapons and prizes you get.
Surviving longer also gains ZKW Points which can be traded in to totally customize player’s characters and weapons,
buy different perks, open new maps, and a lot lot more! Survival is all about the margins, and every little extra helps!
The PC version of Zombie Kill of the Week - Reborn (available now on Steam) also features an exclusive level editor
that allows member of the ZKW Reborn community to create their own maps and then share them for everyone to enjoy. Endless
permutations and maps means endless challenges.
With a compelling single player survival mode, as well as cooperative
multiplayer for up-to four players, this is one zombie firefight you are not going to want to miss!!

03/12/2015 - Final Week of Gamer for Life Campaign Final week of Gamer for
Life campaign. Stretch goal added. A
fan art tribute book raising funds for cancer.
Los Angeles, CA March 12, 2015
Gamer
for Life, an art book tribute to game developer Kevin Kanai Griffith (KKG) and his fight with ASPS cancer is in its final
week of its fundraising campaign. KKG, an avid gamer, was always an inspiration and encourager to all artists he came
into contact with. An art book of his favorite video games was the most logical way to both honor his memory and help raise
funds for research and treatment for others who are suffering at cancer’s hand.
Top artists from the game
industry such as Tyson Murphy, Luke Mancini, Paul Kwon, Dmitri Burmak, Mark Gibbons, Josh Singh, Moby Francke, Laurel Austin,
Christian Lichtner, Trent Kaniuga and Trevor Claxton have all donated pieces to this cause. Gamer for Life has artists
across the industry represented. Artists from Blizzard, Riot, Carbine, Activision, Microsoft, Ready at Dawn, GREE, Tencent,
Turtle Rock and many more have donated art to this tribute volume.
Having already reached its funding goal, Gamers
for Good, the book’s publisher and creators have added a stretch goal to upgrade all the physical books to hard cover
if the new $60K stretch goal is met.
All of the proceeds of Gamer for Life’s Indiegogo campaign
will be spilt between 2 wonderful charities, GameChanger and Cure ASPS. Both these organizations have ties to cancer, the
first supporting families of pediatric cancer patients in partnership with the gaming community and the latter being a research
foundation for the type of cancer Kevin battled with ASPS.
Gamers for Good hopes you will join them and support
the campaign in its final week. Whether that means contributing to the campaign, sharing it with friends or pushing it out
through your own social media network. They appreciate any and all help to do Kevin proud and help raise funds for these wonderful
charities.

03/12/2015 - Radical Fish Games Running Indiegogo Campaign for 2D Action RPGRadical Fish Games is
running an Indiegogo campaign for 2D Action-RPG CrossCode SAARBRUECKEN, GERMANY - Radical Fish Games is currently running an Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign
for their 2D Action-RPG, CrossCode, with 30% of its goal reached and 19 days left. An extensive demo, running on web browsers
and Windows, is already available today.
CrossCode is a loveletter to 16-bit RPGs with modern action and puzzle
mechanics.
You will follow the adventures of Lea, a player who is stuck in a fictional online game of the distant
future. She also lost her memory and, on top of that, can’t speak. Now the only option to regain her memory is to play
the game - hoping that fellow players won’t mistake her for a bot.
During Lea’s adventures you will
experience a strange take on the future of gaming: a fictional online game about throwing balls. Not only are balls your
trusty tools to master several dungeons full of puzzles, they are your weapons as well. Together with close-range attacks
and special skills, they help you to fend off hordes of enemies.
Combining ball-throwing with a fast-paced combat
system, puzzle solving, world exploration and character building, CrossCode provides a mix of the RPG and Action Adventure
genre, delivered with detailed pixel art and a soundtrack inspired by old SNES and Playstation classics. The new demo of CrossCode
was recently released and can be played in any web browsers or downloaded for Windows. So far, the game was well received:
“... the game is not just showing that it is inspired by The Legend of Zelda, but is looking to surpass
it.” says Joel Couture of indiegames.com
"I urge everyone to try it out for themselves
and see just how promising this game is." says Menashe of Nintendo Enthusiast
"It has a really nice visual style, an interesting story
(...)" says Vsauce3
The game has been greenlit on Steam after only 7 days. http://steamcommunity.com//sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=390285073 Now Radical Fish Games is running an Indiegogo campaign to fund the
development of the full game: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/crosscode

05/09/2015 - A Pixel Story coming March 30th 2015A Pixel Story release
date announced! Award-winning, puzzle-platforming
love letter to video games begins this month www.apixelstory.com
Channel 4 today announces that video game A Pixel
Story, the BAFTA-nominated 2D puzzle-platformer from Lamplight Studios, is set for release on Steam for PC on 30
March 2015.
A Pixel Story is a fun and epic retelling of the history of video games… or a stress
test for your gamepad’s structural integrity.
An early prototype of A Pixel Story was originally developed
over a nine-week period by a five-person team. The game received a BAFTA Ones To Watch award nomination. Following this recognition,
Lamplight Studios has been expanding and honing A Pixel Story‘s twitch reflex platform mechanics into a fun and challenging
experience for gamers old and new school. Taking on the role of the titular pixel, players need to escape from a Pong-like game world and then progress through increasingly
detailed game worlds that pay homage to the developments made in gaming across four graphical generations.
Dare
to be Digital 2012, the annual international student game design competition run by the UK’s University of Abertay,
saw Lamplight Studios win the Channel 4 Award and £25,000 in prize money to develop their game idea with Channel 4.
Colin MacDonald, Games Commissioner at Channel 4, was one of the judges at Dare to be Digital and has been mentoring
the developers since the competition winners were announced.
Colin said: “Lamplight Studios’
love letter to video gaming is fun, fiendishly challenging and charming in equal measure, and we can’t wait to share
its story with the world.”
Martin Cosens, Team Leader of A Pixel Story said: “To our team,
the Channel 4 award represents an unprecedented opportunity to further develop a title that we became extremely attached to
over the initial development period. It allows us to follow up our full designs for a project we had initially hoped to develop
a full game experience from. It will also allow us to establish a company, creating the capacity to work on a huge range of
ideas, which until this point we only dreamed of working on. It marks the beginnings of a company that we hope will leave
its mark on the British games industry.”
A Pixel Story features: - Quick reflex
platform action with a puzzle twist - Vibrant worlds pay homage to 8-bit, 16-bit and modern gaming eras - A magical
teleportation hat - Pad-smashingly-hard bonus challenge rooms - Seven worlds, each with a new mechanic - Evolving
graphical and audio fidelity - Thousands of coins, gems and special items to collect - Did we mention the magical
teleportation hat?
“The kind of ‘die, die, repeat’ challenge that will grab plenty of masochistic
gamers” - Kotaku UK
“Era-jumping platformer is 8-bit of alright” - GamesMaster
A Pixel Story launches on Steam for PC on 30 March 2015 for £8.99 UK, $11.99 NA, €11.99 Euro.
