12/11/2014 - New Alien Isolation Available
ALIEN: ISOLATION UPDATE AVAILABLE WITH NEW NIGHTMARE AND NOVICE DIFFICULTY MODES

Alien: Isolation™ players can download a new update for the game adding a new Nightmare difficulty mode that challenges all but the most proficient player to the ultimate Alien experience. And if the thought of a more aggressive Alien encounter causes sleepless nights, a new Novice difficulty mode is also available.

One of the most requested features from fans, Nightmare Mode ramps up the difficulty to a frightening level. Gamers with a strong disposition are challenged to venture into Sevastopol Station with a broken motion tracker featuring a distorted display and unreliable information. Resources are limited, androids and survivors are more deadly and the map systems have gone offline. The Alien AI has been upgraded, ramping up its aggression to punishing levels. It’s more adaptive, learning players’ tactics faster, has heightened senses and will give players no ‘second chance’ encounters. Nightmare Mode is the ultimate Alien experience.

Alongside Nightmare Mode is a new Novice Mode to help players stressed with some of the game’s trickier sections. Players are offered more resources and ammunition, weaker androids and survivors, and the Alien will be a little more forgiving, distracted more easily and less aggressive in his hunting style.

This free update is released today across all formats.

Alien: Isolation is a multi-award winning survival horror game with accolades from Pocket Lint (Game of 2014), Game Reactor Sweden (Game of the Year), Game Reactor Finland (Game of the Year), Fun & Serious Game Festival (Best Horror Game, Best Soundtrack) and Stuff Gadget Awards (Reader’s Game of the Year) commending the return to form of Ridley Scott’s terrifying creature. Set on board a decommissioned trading station in the fringes of space, players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the shadows. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

Alien: Isolation is available now for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Windows PC, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

12/08/2014 - Apple Picks Tomb Raider as Mac GOTY 2014
Apple Picks Feral Interactive's Tomb Raider for Mac as 'Game of the Year' 2014

Tomb Raider™ for Mac has been selected as Apple's Mac App Store Game of the Year for 2014. Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix for PC and consoles,  Tomb Raider for Mac is the much-praised series reboot that tells the gripping story of how a young woman becomes the extraordinary Lara Croft, Tomb Raider.

It is the third year in a row that Feral Interactive has been awarded Game of the Year honors. Apple previously singled out XCOM: Enemy Unknown in 2013 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution in 2012 as Mac App Store Game of the Year.

When Lara is shipwrecked on the lost island of Yamatai armed with only her instincts, she soon finds out she’ll have to push the limits of endurance if she’s to uncover the island’s terrible secrets, save her friends and escape with her life.

To survive, Lara must adapt. Pursued by a savage cult, she will climb, jump and scramble her way through huge interlinked environments, from untouched forests to ancient Japanese temples, abandoned WWII bunkers and a sprawling shantytown. She’ll also need to master new skills, salvage vital resources and regularly upgrade her kit and weapons if she is to uncover Yamatai’s long-buried secrets.

Tomb Raider  for the Mac is available online for direct digital download from a variety of digital partner sites worldwide including the Feral Store (
https://store.feralinteractive.com/en/gb/mac-games/tombraider/) and the Mac App Store. A minisite dedicated to the game is available at  http://www.feralinteractive.com/en/mac-games/tombraider/ and trailers can be found at  http://www.youtube.com/user/feralinteractive.
