10/31/2014 - Heartbit Interactive Introduces Multiplatform RPG Doom & Destiny Advanced
Heartbit Interactive Introduces Multiplatform RPG, Doom & Destiny Advanced

Eppela Crowdfunding Campaign Begins Today to Help Complete Development of Second Installment in this Wildly Successful Game Franchise

(Pontenure, ITALY) – October 31, 2014 -
HeartBit Interactive (Twitter: @HeartbitBitInt) today announced it has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Eppela.com (Twitter: @Eppela_IT), Italy’s premier crowdfunding platform, to help complete the development of Doom & Destiny Advanced, a hilarious multiplatform role playing game (RPG) where players control the destiny of four nerds through an epic journey in an unpredictable fantasy world.  Doom & Destiny Advanced is the second installment in the Doom and Destiny game franchise, which has had great success with over one million downloads worldwide.  The campaign (http://www.eppela.com/eng/projects/1053/doom-destiny-advanced) has a funding goal of 20,000€ (approx $25,000USD).

The long awaited Doom & Destiny Advanced features an original, comedic storyline with nostalgic 2D graphics and animations that fully immerse players in an old school games experience for hours of fun and adventure.  Starring four out-of-the-ordinary heroes in a clash of comedy and fantasy worlds, the game features pop culture references and appearances by famous video games, movies and comic characters.

“In the works for a few years, we’re thrilled about the opportunity to partner with contributors to deliver Doom & Destiny Advanced, part of the interactive game franchise played worldwide,” said Francesco Ficarelli, co-founder of HeartBit Interactive.  “The newest game features an innovative ‘SAVE’ system that perfectly blends both console and mobile gameplay into a seamless gaming experience across different platforms.  And, with this unique feature, progress is saved to the Cloud so users can play on laptops, sync saves to a smartphone or tablet, and keep playing from where they left off!”

Unlike many games, Doom & Destiny Advanced gives players console- and mobile-like game elements that make the game much more exciting and fun.  Players will enjoy the strong narrative that drives the story and deep gameplay following the “easy-to-learn and hard-to-master” paradigm, along with mobile game elements such as free-to-play and no-pay-to-win, the automation of trivial choices and repetitive tasks and unique one-finger touch controls.

Doom & Destiny Advanced appeals to single players and multiplayer enthusiasts alike.  The game features unique game mechanics that mix single player campaign with multiplayer cooperative and competitive gameplay.  Players will enjoy controlling a party of four nerds and explore dungeons, wastelands and cities, collecting treasures, resources and gear to beef up their team, battle hordes of monsters to level up the party of heroes and customizing their characters’ skill with 30+ battle roles that grant different combat styles and special abilities.  Doom & Destiny Advanced, once funded, will be available on the following platforms: iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8 (for tablets), PC/Mac, and Linux.  If HeartBit Interactive doubles its funding goal, PS4 and XBOX ONE versions of the game will also be produced.

Eppela Campaign Details:
Heartbit Interactive is offering several contribution levels from 5€ for a credits mention and Beta access (PC/LINUX/MAC/ANDROID) or 10€ for a premium digital PC game copy.  There will also be tiers from 5€ all the way up to 2,500€, which earn the contributor (along with three friends) to be transported into the game as either four friends of the main characters or as a recurring antagonist team of plane-travelling warlocks. They will also be able to work along with the game designers and graphic artists to create and rule a whole town or a dark dungeon as reward for the 1000€ tier. Lower tiers include other great rewards such as getting a dedicated statue in the main square of a town, working with the design team to enrich the game with a reference to the backer’s favorite game/movie series, or simply be portrayed as a non-playable character in the game (with pledges of 500€, 500€ and 250€ respectively).

About HeartBit Interactive

10/27/2014 - Grepolis 2014 Halloween Event Announced
A Caldron of Treats: Grepolis’ 2014 Halloween Event

Event gives players the chance to craft items and get an exclusive hero

Hamburg, October 27, 2014.   InnoGames invites you to let your inner alchemist come out this month, with Grepolis’ 2014 Halloween Event, which started today. The in-game event will center on Democritus, an alchemist and philosopher by trade who will brew special rewards until November 10.  InnoGames released a video outlining the main changes in the event.

By gathering ingredients and mixing them, players can craft by themselves special rewards. In the spirit of trick-or-treat, ingredients will be randomly generated and available to participants after completing common in-game activities; the rarer the item the more worthy the bounty. On worlds with heroes enabled, players can also receive Democritus as an exclusive hero.

In order to craft a reward, players will need to put three ingredients of their choice onto Democritus’ alchemy table. Although the order of the ingredients is not important, different brewing combinations will yield different results. The recipe book that’s available to players will help with this alluring task as they’ll be able to add specific ingredient combinations with known results. Whatever the outcome, players can either instantly use the items on selected towns, save in the inventory, or cast them off.

Grepolis is a strategy game set in Ancient Greece. In the free browser-based title, players are tasked with building up a vast metropolis and uniting with other players to establish a powerful military and conquer far away islands. Grepolis is also available as a full mobile app for iOS and Android.

With 130 million registered players, InnoGames is one of the world's leading developers and providers of online games. Currently, the Hamburg-based company employs 350 professionals from 25 nations. InnoGames has scored major success with games such as Tribal Wars, Grepolis and Forge of Empires.
