03/26/2014 - Zombie Studios Celebrates 20 YearsZombie Studios Celebrates 20 Years
The Passion of the Undead
Seattle, WA - In 1994, the doors of Zombie Studios looked a lot different. Located in the bustling
Columbia Tower on the 69th floor in Seattle, the 250 square foot office was all that two new CEO’s to the
game industry could need, but that would soon change. Current CEO, Joanna Alexander remarks on those early days, “We
were excited to have our first space, thrilled to be pursuing a longtime passion. We never dreamed we’d be here twenty
years later, only two blocks away in a 10,000 square foot building.” Today, on the verge of their 20th Anniversary
the company still feels young and, true to their age, constantly evolving with the industry they’ve come to love.
With over 28 titles under their belt, designed and produced on every major platform including PlayStation 3, Xbox
360, Wii, iOS, Android and PlayStation 4, Zombie Studios has long since established themselves as a strong independent force
in the game industry. They have also been at the forefront of Serious Games, developing simulation, education and training
applications for the last 20 years.
Zombie hasn’t stopped to look back though, as Studio Director Jared Gerritzen
says, “We are constantly learning, pushing ourselves with each new project and becoming the masters of our domain. Anyone
can say this, but we truly love every step of the process in creating a great game and enjoy challenging each other with each
new project.” It shows in Zombie’s business model as well, debuting their first self-published title Blacklight:
Retribution currently in Beta on the PlayStation 4, and preparing to release the first Unreal Engine 4 title Daylight
on PC and PlayStation 4 next month.
Zombie Studios’ 20th year finds them speeding up rather than
slowing down, and Gerritzen couldn’t be prouder of the where the studio has gone and is headed. “We are gearing
up to bring Blacklight out of Beta, loving the way Phantom Army is looking, and have multiple projects in the works. The years
keep getting better and better for us.”

03/25/2014 - Total War SHOGUN 2Coming to Mac Total War: SHOGUN 2 Brings Clan Warfare to the Mac This Spring
Feral Interactive today announced
that the historical strategy game Total War™: SHOGUN 2 will be released on the Mac this spring. Developed
by Creative Assembly™ and published by SEGA ® for Windows, this is the latest installment
in the critically acclaimed Total War series to be brought to the Mac by Feral, following Rome, Empire
and Napoleon.
Total War: SHOGUN 2 places the series’ celebrated gameplay elements of real-time
battle tactics and turn-based political strategy against the dramatic backdrop of the Sengoku, or 'Warring States' period
of 16th century Japan. As leader of one of nine competing clans, players will attempt to dominate Japan and become shogun,
unifying the country under one undisputed ruler.
Players will deploy their clan’s unique mastery of a particular
aspect of warfare as they command samurai, ninjas and warrior monks in spectacular battles across snowcapped mountains, heavily
fortified hilltop citadels and fields garlanded with cherry blossom. Off the battlefield, they can develop infrastructure,
research new technologies and improve their political position by pursuing intelligent diplomacy and using covert agents to
bend rival clans to their will.
The release of Total War: SHOGUN 2 on the Mac will be accompanied by all
the additional content packs already released for Windows. This includes the Rise of the Samurai Campaign DLC pack,
which challenges players to establish Japan’s first shogunate, 400 years before the events of the main game.
“Total War: SHOGUN 2 is a meticulous depiction of an exciting period in Japanese history,” said David
Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “From the AI’s use of authentic Samurai battle tactics to the
Japanese woodcut style of the UI, every aspect of the game is rendered in evocative detail.”
Pricing, system
requirements and a minisite dedicated to Total War: SHOGUN 2 for the Mac will be revealed closer to the release date
and available
A trailer for Total War: SHOGUN 2 is available now on Feral’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsIyU0Qkp6Y).

Birmingham,
UK – 24th March 2014 – Mobile game publisher, Fairplay Media, has put all the pieces together to bring
the classic American action-adventure series, MacGyver, to the mobile games arena!
MacGyver was a hit television
series in the 80’s and 90’s about the adventures of a laid-back but extremely resourceful secret agent whose main
asset was his practical application of scientific knowledge and ingenious use of whatever common items were at hand to confront
any crisis.
Created by Lee Zlotoff, the original show ran for seven seasons on ABC in the United States and by
1994 was released in over 70 different worldwide markets. Due to popular demand, two TV-movies were released in 1994. MacGyver
is still showing around the globe to this day.
Fairplay’s CEO, Simon Phillips enthused “Who doesn’t
know MacGyver? To most people MacGyver is a household name that conjures up so many fond memories of puzzle solving, ingenuity
and doing ‘a MacGyver’. We’ve been talking to Lee for some time and have constantly discussed different
ways of bringing Mac to the mobile games market and we were delighted to be able find a way to do just that!” “We’re
excited to be able to bring MacGyver up to date and into the mobile games market. Games are the perfect way for Mac to start
new adventures with both the existing fans and an entirely new global audience as well. I’m looking forward to
working with the team at Fairplay and seeing Mac back in action” said Zlotoff. “What’s more, a portion of
the proceeds from the sale of the game will go to support The MacGyver Foundation.”
The first MacGyver title
is already deep in development and due to be announced in the coming weeks.
