Indie Puzzle RPG Spandex Force: Champion Rising Video Released

March 7, 2014 - Independent game developer KarjaSoft releases a video of the upcoming superhero puzzle RPG Spandex Force: Champion Rising.

Spandex Force: Champion Rising is a tongue-in-cheek superhero game with adventure and RPG elements, featuring hex-based match-3 puzzle battles against villains and crooks threatening the peaceful city of Vigilance Valley. The player has one month to transform an everyday citizen into a superhero, aided by the Blizzard Wizard's dubious tutoring.

The game is filled with minigames that let the player rescue old ladies in distress, raise the hero's reputation or train to enhance his or her physical, elemental and mental powers. The cast includes colorful opponents such as the Heavy Mob, Countess Conundrum, Professor Aphasia, evil robots, corrupt government officials, heroes in need of anger management training - and many more.

Spandex Force: Champion Rising will be available for Windows and Android devices on April 11, followed by Mac OS X and iOS devices at a later date.

03/04/2014 - The Walking Dead Season New New Episode This Week
Critically-Acclaimed The Walking Dead: Season Two Continues

Episode Two, ‘A House Divided’ available for download on Consoles, PC/Mac, and the iOS App Store this week

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Mar. 4th, 2014 - Leading publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman, the Eisner Award-winning creator and writer of The Walking Dead for his Skybound imprint at Image Comics, today announced the release of A House Divided, the second of five episodes of The Walking Dead: Season Two – A Telltale Games Series.

The episode is available now on the PlayStation®Network in North America* for PlayStation 3, PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, and other digital outlets, including Steam. The episode will be available Wednesday, March 5th on Xbox Games Store for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and on the App Store for compatible iOS devices Thursday March 6th.

The Walking Dead: Season Two – A Telltale Games Series continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, left to survive in a world gone mad.  Players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through the choices that they make.

“With the premiere of The Walking Dead’s second season, players quickly learned the unique challenges of surviving in the zombie apocalypse as our 11 year old heroine thrust back into Robert Kirkman’s relentlessly unforgiving world ravaged by the undead,” said Dan Connors, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “Clem’s journey continues as even more problems arise, quickly reminding the player that safety is only temporary, and the bonds of trust may not always be as strong as they seem. This episode also introduces our first true villain for the series, the mysterious ‘Carver,’ who’s bent on tracking down her new group of survivors at all costs.”

The premiere of Season Two, All That Remains has received critical praise with The New York Times calling it, “Excellent,” and Buzzfeed saying, “It’s a masterstroke by Telltale,” adding, “This is the real deal; a game for adults, not gamers, a game to share, a game to evangelize about, a game to cherish.” GameTrailers.com awarded the premiere with an Editor’s Choice 9 out of 10 rating, saying that the episode, “…doesn’t waste a single minute. Telltale will make you feel scared, hopeful, shocked, and repulsed, only to have the next several scenes do the exact same thing,” with Nerdist.com saying, “…it’s a home-run. Lighting, meet bottle – again.”

To date, The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series has sold more than 24 million episodes worldwide, earning more than 90  Game of the Year awards from outlets including Metacritic, USA Today, Wired, Spike TV VGAs, Yahoo!, The Telegraph, Mashable, Polygon, Destructoid and GamesRadar, and was also the recipient of two BAFTA Video Games Awards for  Best Story and  Best Mobile Game.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of Robert Kirkman's award-winning comic book series and offers an emotionally-charged, tailored game experience where a player's actions and choices affect how their story plays out across the entire series.

The Walking Dead: Season Two - A Telltale Games Series - Episode Two: A House Divided is rated 'M' (Mature) for Violence, Blood, and Strong Language by the ESRB. Content for future episodes in  The Walking Dead: Season Two has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

03/04/2013 - 2Dawn Games Announces New Ravaged SDK
2DAWN GAMES OPENS FLOOD GATES FOR MODDERS WITH NEW RAVAGED SDK

2Dawn Games’ Free, Downloadable Software Development Kit Provides Tools for Community to Create Their Ultimate Maps, Modes and More

Twain Harte, CA – March 4, 2013 – Indie developer 2Dawn Games and Reverb Publishing opened the doors for enthusiastic modders today by creating a free, downloadable RDK (Ravaged Development Kit) for
Ravaged to develop their own maps, levels, and more. The new RDK opens up the Ravaged engine by providing avid modders with the tools to import static meshes, skeletal meshes, textures, animations, make maps, assets, and general game content for Ravaged.

The RDK is a standalone development kit for the base game Ravaged and for the expansion Ravaged Zombie Apocalypse that does not require prior ownership of the Unreal Engine. It is available now and can be downloaded
HERE

The RDK Q&A can be read HERE

“Having come from the modding community ourselves, we feel passionate about giving the same opportunity to future Ravaged developers,” said Ken Payne, Lead Engineer at 2Dawn Games. “These fundamental tools will provide a platform for our community to build, share, and play in maps that we could never have imagined.”
Built by 2Dawn Games, the same great developers that created the mod Battlefield: Desert Combat and full-fledged games HomeFront and Frontlines, the new RDK is open and free. The tools remain the same, but there are some game mode actors and components specific to Ravaged. For instance, there is one working example available for each game mode. And users will need to submit/relinquish all maps/mods to 2Dawn Games for potential inclusion into Ravaged. Because 2Dawn Games is eager to support and develop a growing Steam/Ravaged modding community, it has created these forums to discuss all future related modding:
https://www.2dawn.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/54-Ravaged-Dev-Kit

A fast-paced, open world, vehicular and weapon-based first-person shooter like none other, Ravaged (available on Steam for PC at $14.99) is set in a post-apocalypse world ripped apart by natural disasters. Filled with different map sizes, team-based modes, and a variety of vehicles from ATVs, buggies, tanks, and moving fortresses, Ravaged can be played using classic modes or the recently created Zombie Apocalypse modes. Chronicling the struggle between the “Resistance” and the “Scavengers” as they fight for vanishing resources and territory, Ravaged asks players to join the fight for survival.

Ravaged Zombie Apocalypse is available now on
Steam for $14.99; it is rated M for mature due to the violent subject matter, and is not intended for younger audiences. For more information on Ravaged, please visit: www.2dawn.com/. Be sure to follow 2 Dawn Games on Twitter and Facebook.
