Burlingame, Calif., June 24, 2010 - Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, announced today the company has released three titles for download on the Wii: Reel Fishing Challenge II for WiiWare, and Wild Guns and Shadow of the Ninja for the Wii Virtual Console.

"We're thrilled to be bringing these three great titles to the Wii," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. "Shadow of the Ninja and Wild Guns offer classic, fast-paced action for one or two players, and Reel Fishing Challenge II brings the top-selling fishing series back with an all-new environment packed with fish and varied new challenges!"

Reel Fishing Challenge II (WiiWare)

Reel Fishing is back! This sequel to the smash-hit fishing game takes you to a pristine new freshwater environment teeming with fish that look and move just like the real thing. You'll be taking these wily lunkers on with a huge variety of lures and refined controls that provide the most natural and realistic fishing action yet! And you'll need every advantage you can get, as Reel Fishing Challenge II's 30 varied missions will put your angling abilities to the ultimate test. It's a stunning, true-to-life fishing experience that'll have you hooked!

Shadow of the Ninja (Virtual Console)

Get ready for furious side-scrolling, platforming ninja action! The mad emperor Garuda holds the city trapped in his diabolical claws. Only two brave ninja warriors dare to stand against him. They move as silently as shadows in the snow, swift and graceful as the wind, and strike with the explosive fury of razor-clawed tigers! Playing solo or co-op with a friend, you'll slice, bomb, and shuriken your way through Garuda's army of vicious soldiers, agile ninjas, and monstrous robots.

Use your ninja skills to hang from moving platforms, leap over lethal pitfalls, and dodge diabolical traps. Collect deadly power-ups to give yourself an edge against the overwhelming odds that face you...if you can hold on to them. It'll take all of your platforming prowess to navigate the game's thirteen intense levels and bring some old-fashioned ninja justice to Garuda!

Wild Guns (Virtual Console)

It's the wildest west you've ever seen in this-action packed 3rd-person shooter! The Kid gang and their army of robots have taken over the town! The only ones who can stop them are Clint, a tough-as-nails bounty hunter, and Annie, a beautiful-but-deadly woman with a serious score to settle. Blast your way through villainous outlaws, diabolical robots, and towering, screen-filling bosses either by yourself or with a friend at your side in the 2-player co-op mode. You'll need a sharp eye and quick-on-the-draw reflexes, but fortunately, you've got plenty of moves to help you survive the hail of bullets heading your way. You can dive-roll, jump, double jump, rope enemies with a lasso, and clear the screen with explosive special attacks. Blast apart just about everything in the environment to find guns, bombs, and other hidden power-ups. It's up to you to bring justice back to town - or whatever's left of it when the gun smoke clears.

Help the Video Game Voters Network Find a New Slogan

Video_Game_Voters.gif

If you could tell the world why video games are so important, what would you say?

The Video Game Voters Network is looking for a new slogan, a rallying cry to help fend off the constant attempts to restrict our gaming rights.

We need a short, powerful way to tell anti-game politicians -- and the American people -- that we won't sit back while video games are targets of unfair laws and baseless attacks.

We have a few ideas of our own, like "Our Games, Our Vote" and "Hands off our games," but we know you can do better.

Tell us your idea, and it could become the new rallying cry for gamers across the country:

http://videogamevoters.org/slogan

Right now, it's more important than ever to maintain a united front in defense of video games.

The Supreme Court is currently considering a California law restricting the sale of computer and video games. With election season approaching, some politicians might seek to score political points by railing against video games.

It's up to us to counter these attacks and protect our free speech as gamers. To do so, we need a short, catchy slogan that shows we won't back down. Tell us your idea now:

http://videogamevoters.org/slogan

Thanks -- we can't wait to see what you come up with.

As another E3 Expo draws to a close we take a moment to look back at all the sights from this wonderful event. It truly was one of the greatest expo's in recent history. We saw everything from major celebrities, beautiful models and of course, many of the hottest video games at the show. There was so much to do and see that we almost couldn't cover it all. We arrived early and stayed late every single day. Our feet are blistered and sore, but as you will see, covering the expo was well worth the pain.

Galaxy4Gamers Welcomes Virgin Resurgence

Leading online gaming community reacts to news that Richard Branson is entering industry

Virgin/Virgin_MegaStore_Closing_Pics__11_.jpg

LOS ANGELES, California (June 7, 2010) - Galaxy4Gamers, a leading video game tournament website, is excited to hear Sir Richard Branson and Virgin have acquired World Gaming to reenter the online gaming industry.

Galaxy4Gamers's CEO, Chris Doe, thinks Virgin's move into the niche market of online skill-based video game tournament is an extremely positive sign for the industry and professional gaming in general.  "Gaming for real cash is still a relatively new concept here in the US, especially online where cheating remains a big deterrent. Richard Branson's entrance into the industry will provide professional video gamers some long overdue attention and establish more credibility and standards to the sport."

Regarding competing against the newly formed Virgin Gaming, Doe continues "Obviously competing against a conglomerate with endless resources can be daunting, but we are up to the challenge and are confident in our product and direction. In the past year, we were able to match all the core functionality of the leading competitors, as well as release industry first products, such as Beat-A-Pro™ challenges, in-person and online LAN promoter platforms and most importantly industry leading anti-cheating streaming measures."

Finally, Doe concludes by saying "The industry needs a media magnet like Branson to help shape its future, I look forward to seeing what the Virgin team comes up with."

How do you run a successful Hollywood Hospital?

LONDON, June 1st 2010 - Have you got what it takes to save Tinseltown from an outbreak of movie themed diseases? Team up with Dr Mathers Storm to treat your patients and relieve them of their not-so-well-earned cash! But how are you going to spend it?

Join the beautiful H!TV news reporter Priscilla Powers as she invites you through the doors of this world famous institution and guides you through the dos and don'ts of celebrity rehab. Here are her top tips for getting your celebrity patients back on the red carpet and in front of the cameras as soon as possible.

- Hire extra doctors
 - as more demanding patients arrive and the hospital fills up, you'll need all the help you can get to attend to your A-list customers as quickly as possible and avoid any celebrity tantrums

- Specialise
- Your doctors can become experts in one particular field. Build you score multipliers by sending patients with the same symptoms to the same doctor and earn more cash in the process.

- Buy new equipment
- Z Ray machines, recovery facilities, diagnosis beds and more can be purchased to help you cure the range of whacky diseases that come through your doors.

- Improve your facilities - Use your money to upgrade your hospital’s equipment with labour-saving devices so your staff can keep up with the increasing demands of a Hollywood Hospital.

- Take pride in your work - Complete the mini games using fast fingers and a delicate touch and receive a cash bonus to spend on more equipment in the next round.

- Keep your patients happy - These celebs are used to the best, if their patience runs out your patients run out! A charming smile can only get your receptionist so far, make sure she is equipped with the best waiting room possible. Stylish surroundings and comfy chairs will ensure your patients stay happy for longer whilst they wait to see a doctor.

- Expand your hospital - Big is beautiful in Hollywood! As your practice becomes a success you can build new wards and wings to house your equipment and your expanding team of medical experts. Grow your Hospital and rake in the cash until you are number one in Hollywood!

Hollywood Hospital is released for iPhone, iPod touch and now iPad via Zed's iTunes storefront.
