01/05/2012 - Elektronite's D2K Arcade for IntellivisionElektronite's D2K Arcade for Intellivision
Elektronite and Classic Game Publishers are pleased to present the ONLY official home version of the arcade game
D2K Jumpman Returns available from www.jeffsromhack.com D2K Arcade is probably the most impressive
Intellivision cartridge ever produced for the Mattel Intellivision video game system.
D2K Arcade features 9 different
playing screens

BARRELS …DK's tantrum has crushed and warped five levels of girders, turning them into
a nightmare of ramps and rolling barrels! Jump for your life or grab a hammer and start smashing!

PIE FACTORY …Treacherous conveyors, leaping flames, and "pies" that look almost
good enough to eat… but don't be fooled! These trays of cement are massively dangerous!

ELEVATORS …Two fast-moving columns of elevators and some nasty fireballs await you. Take
the easy way out but be wary of the springs.

RIVETS …Your only chance to reunite yourself with your loved one! Dismantle the structure
by pulling out the support rivets and give the big ape a concussion he won't soon forget!

TWISTED GIRDERS …DK has "twisted" five more levels of girders! Barrels bounce
high and come at you from both directions while flames rain down on you from above!

THE MIXER …A mixer tops off empty "pie" plates while full ones twirl down from
the sky! Master the timing of the stopping conveyor or risk an embarrassing tumble into a tray full of cement!

THE REFINERY …Oil, gas, and an array of safety valves… this level has "danger"
written all over it! Outwit DK by putting out fires at the top of both towers… before the timer runs out!

TRIPLE ELEVATORS… Three elevator columns separate you from narrow structures guarded by
merciless fireballs! Span treacherous gaps while dodging a barrage of madly bouncing springs!

THE ELIMINATOR …Only appearing on level 3, this is DK's final attempt to "eliminate"
you. Don't be afraid of the blue fire… it won't hurt you - unlike everything else!
The Video game Critic
gave D2K Arcade an A+ review and said "D2K Arcade must be seen to be believed. This dream-of-a-homebrew is a must-have
for all classic gaming enthusiasts."
Brett Weiss gave D2K a 5 out of 5 review and said 'Yes, That's right
Colecovision and NES owners, your versions of the game....now take a back seat to this classy new cartridge...."
Classic Game Room said "D2K looks, plays and sounds great. I'm really impressed with the kind of quality they can squeeze
out of an Intellivision cartridge!"
D2K Arcade is available Complete in box for $68 US plus shipping and handling.
The package comes complete with a Mattel Electronics style 'gatefold' box, overlays, full colour manual in a brand new Intellivison

London & San Francisco; January 4th, 2013; The team behind the GameStick

in just 30 hours.
“The response from the Kickstarter community has been truly overwhelming. We are confident
in our product and what we hope it will mean for gaming but we were taken aback at how quickly the message was adopted,”

The team has been busy keeping up with the hundreds of questions and requests that continue to
come through the Kickstarter message boards and in response have today announced support for XBMC & DNLA, two of the most
sought after features.
“While we are shipping as a dedicated games console, we are keen to ensure that users

with a product that will now, as promised, launch in April of this Year.

01/02/2013 AbleGamers Foundation Awards FIFA 13AbleGamers Foundation Names FIFA 13 the 2012 Mainstream Accessible Game
of the Year
International Soccer Juggernaut Enables Gamers of All Disabilities to Join in on the Fun.
Harpers Ferry, WV –January 2, 2013– The AbleGamers Foundation is thrilled to announce EA’s
international soccer sensation FIFA 13 wins the coveted AbleGamers Mainstream Accessible Game of the Year Award. With
outstanding accessibility options, FIFA 13 enables some of the most severely disabled gamers to enjoy the thrill of the “world's
most popular” stadium game.
“AbleGamers was amazed by the accessibility of FIFA 13,” said Mark
Barlet, President and Founder of the AbleGamers Foundation. “EA enabled gamers with severe motor and cognitive disabilities
by including remappable keys, an unheard-of mouse only mode and game settings that allow the entire game to be tailored to
the unique abilities of each disabled gamer.”
“We are delighted and honored by how approachable EA
has been,” continued Barlet. “They really took the principles of our game accessibility guidelines, Includification, to heart. We are starting to see some real
fruits of our labors preaching accessibility over the last decade. I'm personally thrilled to see big-name studios listening
to our advocacy for the disabled community in the gaming industry.”
“There's just not enough you can
say about a game like FIFA 13,” said Steve Spohn, Editor-In-Chief of AbleGamers.com and Community Outreach chair for
the foundation. “Such a large portion of our community is ecstatic over the ability to play a genre of game that's mostly
inaccessible due to the number of controls needed and fast-paced action. The mouse only mode is phenomenal for those with
muscular dystrophy, and the ability to slow down the entire game is such a boon for the cognitively impaired.”
The AbleGamers annual award will be presented to EA at a gaming conference later this year. Honorable mentions also
went out to 2K Game’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown and indie game Colour Bind.
For the full story behind the award
winner, honorable mentions and reviews of the all he nominated games, plus games that failed AbleGamers’ accessibility
tests, please visit AbleGamers.comAbout The AbleGamers Foundation

the accessibility of mainstream video game titles, as well as consultation on assistive technology. As an alternative

York, PA – 01/02/2013 –
Today the ‘Science Behind the Sci-Fi’ forum was launched as part of the game reveal for Broken Crown:
Escaping Titan. A new title revealed by indie development studio, Broken Crown Games, which plans to approach the
issue of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through the use of science-fiction in video games.
Scientists Behind the Science The forum features a four-member panel of scientists in fields related
to the science-fiction found in Escaping Titan. The panelists are:
- Jamie Boyer, Ph.D. - Paleobotany
- Robert Hampson,
Ph.D. - Neuroscience
- Jacob Haqq-Mirsra, Ph.D. - Astrobiology
- Amitai Bin-Nun, Ph.D. - Astromony and Astrophysics.
These four will rotate each week, putting out a post for the first four weeks of each month. Also, due to overwhelming
response from the science community when the Broken Crown Games studio made their call for panelist submissions, the team
now also plans to feature a guest’s content each month as well – for a total of 5 posts a month.
Game
Sneak Preview If you aren’t a science lover that’s OK, the Broken Crown team doesn’t expect
everyone to be in order to find the forum interesting. In order to drive attention to the STEM content, the development
team plans to update all the panelist blogs with sneak previews of game – using the panel updates to show how the science
in the panelists’ posts were used to create the science-fiction in Escaping Titan. These sneak peeks
will include concept art, in-game screenshots, and even gameplay footage from the in-development title.
-more- Call For Public Participation Broken Crown Games’ CEO, Tyler Yohe, was noted as saying, “We
chose to present our panelists’ content through forums rather than blogs because so everyone can participate in generating
content." He went on to explain the they hope the public will not only read the science behind their game, but
hope it will spark further discussions on the forums about other STEM topics that interests readers, such as questions or
ideas about Mars and Moon colonization, even things like alien life on other planets. They encourage novice scientists
and gamers to share their ideas so they can be debated by real scientists, until maybe, just maybe, the meshing of these two
communities can lead to the next big idea in science!
For those of you interested in sharing your space ideas,
or just have STEM related questions, feel free to join the discussion by checking them out at:
