URGENT
MESSAGE FROM THE ECA! YOU CAN HELP STOP BANDWIDTH CAPS
It's been close to a year since we began our battle with Time Warner, AT&T, Frontier Cable, Comcast and others
over bandwidth caps. You and the ECA were the first to speak out on the subject and fight. Our efforts are leading
to legislation being introduced that would protect us from price-gouging.
Rep. Eric Massa has formally introduced H.R. 2902 the Broadband Internet Fairness Act. This
legislation would prevent the "monopolistic rate increases of broadband companies by promoting the interests of broadband
consumers." The internet is the economic and entertainment engine of our time. We don't need the telecom
companies increasing costs, while offering more bandwidth intensive services.
These user caps could limit or stop game play by arbitrarily and artificially limiting bandwidth
in the name of network management. ECA believes that gamers should be able to play the games they want on the internet.

XBOX 360: PROJECT NATAL DEMO ON NATIONAL TELEVISION
Kudo
Tsunoda paid a visit to Late Nite with Jimmy Fallon to demonstrate Microsoft's revolutionary Project Natal. This is a bold move on the part of Microsoft, one that shows they
have extreme confidence in this amazing new device. During the demo the gang wore crazy red jump suits
reminiscent of the outfits occasionally worn by the band DEVO.
And speaking of suits, the crew from Good Morning America also had the chance to demo the Project Natal. Check out this video to see a grown man in a business suit making
a fool out of himself on national television. If a guy like this can enjoy Project Natal I'm sure its going to be a very
big hit. We look forward to learning more about this amazing new device in the coming months.

VIRGIN MEGASTORE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE UPDATE:
60% TO 80% OFF THE ENTIRE STORE: LAST FIVE DAYS
The Hollywood Virgin Megastore has reached its final days.
Discounts are now 60% to 80% off. Video games are 70% off. There are still some great deals to be found.
Here is
our report as of 5:30 PM PST. The Nintendo DS section still has a lot of games. There were a couple of the Pokemon games,
hardcore favorites like "Glory Days 2," and tons of budget titles.
The Xbox 360 selection is still fairly
well stocked. Games like "Command & Conquer 3" normally $30, now 70% off. "Halo Wars," originally
$60, was also 70% off. There was a major abundance of the game "You're in the Movies." This title normally
retails for $70, so with the discount it will be $20. That's actually cheaper than the camera that comes with the game.
As of 6:00pm this afternoon there were also 3 Rockband 2 PS2 bundles. I acquired Tenchu Shadow Assassins for Wii for
$15. (down from $50), and a couple of $20 DS games for $6 a piece. (Orcs & Elves and Glory Days 2)
On the accessory
front, Xbox 360 face plates still remain, Wii Energizer battery packs, Nerf accessories, and lots of Rock Band 2 related
items. (Drum pads, etc)
As for the rest of the store there are still tons of CD and DVDs, and lots of bluray. There
is also an enormous amount of clothing and books. Books are also %70 off. They say this is the last week, so hurry to
the store before time runs out.

E3 EXPO: 2009 HOW FAR DOES THE AVERAGE E3 ATTENDEE WALK IN 3 DAYS?
So
exactly how far does the average E3 visitor walk over the course of the 3 day show? Well I bought a pedometer and wore it
all three days. At the end of the expo I was in for quite a surprise. I had walked almost 25 miles in just three days! I did
not leave the Convention Center and I did not wear this device when I wasn't on the show floor. It was a grueling 3 days and
my feet are now paying the price. After seeing the results of my experiment its easy to see why I am in so much pain. But
still, attending the show is well worth the heavy price. I'll gladly do it again next year. Who knows? E3 2010 is rumored
to be twice as large as this year's show. Maybe I'll break my 25 mile record?

As
we reported earlier, the American Red Cross was holding a blood drive at the 2009 E3 Expo. Many kind and generous individuals donated their blood and their time to this extremely important event. I was lucky enough
to meet two of these wonderful people as I went inside the Mobile Command Unit operated by the Red Cross.
The
first person I met was Mary Stout. (Seen here in the black t-shirt.) Mary was attending the expo with her husband when she
took time out of her busy schedule to give this much needed donation. Even though I am sure she must have been tired from
giving blood and attending the expo, she was gracious enough to answer my questions and pose for these nice photos. She is
a wonderful person and it was my pleasure to meet her and her husband.
The second person I was lucky enough to
meet was David Collins. (Seen here in the reclined position.) David runs the web site Quagmire's
Kingdom. (http://www.kingquagmire.com/) David was also kind enough to answer my questions and pose for my
camera. He also explained the origin of the name for his web site, which by the way has nothing to do with Family Guy. Its
a great site and I strongly recommend you check it out.
In
my life I have seen first hand just how badly the American Red Cross needs blood. Visit a procedure center in any hospital and you will quickly learn the truth. The average hospital goes
through enormous amounts of blood every single day. Honestly, I have no idea how the Red Cross can acquire so much blood.
That is why I am extremely grateful to people like David and Mary for their generosity. And to everyone who donates their
blood. When the Red Cross says that giving blood saves lives they really mean it.
Not only is their donation
important, but they actually gave blood while attending E3! That alone is a super human feat. E3 is a paradise for gamers
like me, but its also extremely grueling. My body will ache for days after the event. My feet are sore and covered in blisters.
Donating blood at E3 must be like running a marathon and climbing a mountain in the same day.
My heartfelt thanks
goes out to David and Mary for their donations and for agreeing to be a part of this article. I wish them all the best.

It
was one of the most bizarre publicity stunts I have ever seen at the E3 Expo. Actors portraying religious zealots staged a "protest" against EA's new game Dante's Inferno. They carried signs with catchy slogans like "Cheat codes wont save your soul." They also gave out flyers. Some
onlookers were offended, others quickly realized it was all a publicity stunt. Maybe it was the fact that some of the
protesters could not answer simple bible related questions? Or maybe it was the way they left their bibles on the ground
in the rain? Either way, the stunt drew a lot of attention for EA's new title, which is probably what the company wanted in the first place.

E3 EXPO 2009: DAY 1 DANGER! DO
NOT PHOTOGRAPH MICKEY ROURKE!
Legendary Actor
Mickey Rourke was on hand to promote his role in Bethesda's awesome new game Rogue Warrior. The game is based on real life bad ass Richard "Dick" Marcinko. (Pronounced: Mar-SINK-oh.) Marcinko has been a Navy man for over 30 years,
even serving two tours of duty in Vietnam as a decorated Navy Seal. What better actor to play this military legend than tough
guy actor Mickey Rourke.
Mickey Rourke has played a number
of hard nosed characters over his long career. He has played a wrestler, a character named Harley Davidson, and the
grizzled and violent "Marv" from Sin City. Rourke also has a notorious personality trait, he hates being photographed. So
of course, what did I do? I decided to snap a couple of shots when he wasn't looking. Bad idea....
After I took
the first shot I could tell he was a little miffed. After I took the second shot I knew my life was in danger. Even though
Rourke was accompanied by a large and intimidating body guard, I knew that if I took one more shot he'd beat my ass himself!
Bodyguard or no bodyguard. I quickly put my camera away and disappeared into the shadows.
Later I returned to
the Bethesda booth just as Mr Rourke was finishing his lengthy autograph session. To
my surprise he actually gave me a little smile as he was being ushered into a private room. A wave of relief came over me.
At least I wouldn't be getting my ass kicked by the Actor/Boxer. Well, its all in a days work and the E3 Expo.
